I can't believe you posted this *yesterday* and I had a notion to look for some old B.M.R. air recordings today ! THANK YOU ! ( I *was* looking for anything from when B.M.R. was at KPPC (" - in the basement of the Pasadena Presbyterian Church...") - Still, it's close enough for jazz !
What's amazing about these recordings - apart from the fact that in most ways the style of presentation hasn't dated at all, is the NEWS - J. Edgar Hoover writing an "Open Letter" to American students advising against the advocates of violence (HAH!) and despair...Spiro Agnew asserting that popular music encouraged drug taking (when the U.S. gov't. was the illegal biggest drug pusher of all...! Ah well, how times change...!
